Institute of Crop Sciences (ICS, http://icscaas.com.cn), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, China, is the leading research organization working on staple food crops such as wheat, maize, soybean, rice, millet, and beans. ICS conducts cutting-edge studies in germplasm characterization, gene discovery, molecular breeding and crop management in these crops. ICS seeks to recruit up to 10 full-time leading scientists working on any of these areas mentioned above, to establish their own groups in the institute. Qualified applicants should have a PhD degree and postdoctoral experience, demonstrated track-record, good management and communication skills.

    Support Package/ Salary/ Benefits:

    These positions are offered for an initial term of five years, with possibility to be extended to permanent positions after evaluation. The support package includes: 1) sufficient lab and office spaces; 2) a start-up research and equipment fund for 5 million RMB; 3) 2 research associates, one technician and 5 MSc/PhD students; 4) yearly salary of 500,000 RMB plus 100,000 RMB/year housing subsidy.
