Collecting, Preservation, Evaluation and Utilization of Crop Germplasm Resources in China (the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2003): A leading crop germplasm preservation system integrating a long-term genebank, a duplicate genebank and medium-term genebanks was established. At the same time, a comprehensive technology system to ensure the genetic integrity of preserved germplasm resources was developed to facilitate germplasm evaluation, genetic diversity assessment, gene discovery and germplasm enhancement.
