Research Interests

  • QTLs and favorable alleles underlying importantly agronomic traits will be intensively identified and mined using trait-specific ILs and re-sequenced 3000 rice germplasms. DQP strategy and gene editing based on excellent allele information will be reinforced in creation of excellent breeding materials and GSR variety
  • Implement association mapping and candidate gene association mapping to identify new genes underlying important agronomic traits especially for abiotic stress tolerance in 3000 germplasms. Haplotype analysis will be done and most likely candidate gene will be inferred for further confirmation of gene function. We will reveal molecular mechanisms of important genes tolerant to biotic and abiotic stresses, providing novel genes for GSR breeding
  • Hybrid breeding and extension will be intensified at home and abroad in cooperation with the qualified seed companies based on our excellent two line sterile lines Chun 6S and Chun 199S
