ICS Hosted the Symposium of China-European Union Nature-based Solutions for Nutrient Management International Cooperation Program
The program progress symposium of China-European Union Nature-based Solutions for Nutrient Management in Agriculture and Sustainability Transformation took place on September 11—13, in Zhalantun City, Inner Mongolia, China. The symposium was hosted by the Institute of Crop Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ICS-CAAS).
The program belongs to the National Key Research and Development Program of China, Intergovernmental International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Project, jointly led by China and the European Union, in which the ICS-CAAS undertook the project of Application and Demonstration of Technology for Improving Crop Productivity and Efficiency of Maize and Soybean Rotation System in Northeast China.
During the meeting, the participants visited the long-term positioning test field of soybean and maize rotation system. In addition, Dr. Xu Cailong introduced the new technology of the project and its effectiveness. Experts from China and the EU exchanged views on green, simple and efficient cultivation techniques. The holding of the symposium showed the innovation ability of Chinese agricultural science and technology to the international stage, and laid the foundation for further in-depth cooperation in agricultural green and sustainable production.
More than 60 participants from CAAS, China Agricultural University, Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Southwest University, Center of Agro-products Safety and Quality Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, University of Hohenheim Wageningen University, Aarhus University, Széchenyi István University, Rothamsted Research, Research Institute of Organic Agriculture, Pannon-Mag-Agrár Kft., Pisztrang Kor E and other program participants attended the meeting.
