The Crop Journal started in October 2013 is an international peer-reviewed journal sponsored by the Crop Science Society of China and the Institute of Crop Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and co-published by Elsevier and Science Press. The major aims of the journal are to report the recent progresses in the disciplines of crop breeding, crop genetics, crop cultivation, crop physiology, germplasm resources, grain chemistry, grain storage and processing, biotechnology and biomathematics related to crops, etc. The Editorial Board consists of 93 members including half overseas who are reputable professionals and productive authors in various fields of crop sciences.

The Crop Journal is freely available online (Open Access) in ScienceDirect for the highest possible exposure to the international community and free of page charges. Journal’s website: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/22145141

ESCI launched in November 2015 is a new edition of Web of Science being created by Thomson Reuters and includes influential journals covering a variety of disciplines. ESCI complements the highly selective indexes by providing earlier visibility for sources under evaluation as part of SCIE, SSCI, and AHCI’s rigorous journal selection process. Inclusion in ESCI provides greater discoverability which leads to measurable citations and more transparency in the selection process.
